Recruitment: Expectation Vs Reality

Finding a perfect fit is a hard nut to crack. Being a job seeker, we expect something else and the reality is quite opposite to that. The same goes with the recruiters, while looking for their “world beater”, they expect a lot but are amazed by the reality. Take a look at some of the recruitment expectations below, and be amazed by the realities that follow.

Expectation: When We Apply For A Job, We Expect To Get A Follow-Up Immediately

Reality: If we see the reality of the job, the HRM will find many resumes and select only a few. It can be selected or it can be rejected. A lot of people think that by emailing their CVs to a recruitment company, they will receive a call in a couple of days to tell them that they have been hired for a new fantastic opportunity that they will love working for. But the reality is opposite to that.

Expectation: HRM Gives Employees A Promotion For The Hard Work Done.

Reality: The employee thinks that the recruiter will consider him/her for very important positions. But in reality, the recruiter is in the process of meeting with the company and discussing the outcome in depth. The reality is that the company looks at the recruiter and attributes specific qualities that would be found in a promotion based on their experience, and qualifications and fit into the company culture. You could be the perfect candidate, but you don't have the personality that the employer thinks is best for promoting the role.

Expectation: The Employee Is Expecting A High Salary To Stay In The Company.

Reality: The recruitment is making their decision to give the demanded salary according to his performance with the agency. The recruitment company is acting as a substitute for the employer, handling the job listing on behalf of the company to simplify and speed up the process. Therefore, your salary with the recruitment company is incredibly important.

Expectation: We Are Willing To Join A Job But In A Different Company

Reality: The reality is that we apply through various companies but some companies we get interviews that we were not hoping for and some companies that we have already applied for are looking for a suitable person that will fit for our company.

Expectation: During Work, We Made A Big Mistake Regarding the company Platform And Could Be Dismissed From The Company.

Reality: The mistake was made by the employee and the recruitment team is meeting with the company to resolve the issue, unfortunately, they can be dismissed from the company or they will be given a warning letter to resolve the issue.

Expectation: An Employee Was Caught In A Harassment Case With A Girl Finding That The Recruitment Team Is Dismissing Him From The Company.

Reality: Harassment case is a big problem in every company working area and some people can be caught on the company premises. According to the employee found in the harassment is sorry for the trouble made. The recruiting team is deciding whether to bring their parents or will dismiss them from the company forever.

Bottom Line

The bottom line throughout this content is the way you hope can be your luck and how you try to make a result. Every expectation always depends on the way you try. Every reality always depends on how you work on it. You never know when a dream can come true. Every recruitment stage has a lesson to learn, and every lesson you learn is your result in how you apply.
